The Titanic and The Carpathia The Titanic was carrying over 2.200 people when it left Southampton.   The Titanic was going at 22.5 knots  when it hit the iceberg. The Carpathia was travelling from New York to Europe when the disaster happened.   A reporter and his wife were travelling on the Carpathia. As they were travelling back to New York they interviewed the surivors.     As the Carpathia was entering the harbour the reporter threw his notes to a colleague. The dock reporters sent the story to the newspaper. Imagine that you have to write an interview to a famous person, who you choose?
