National Environmental Concerns
- Cat litter is not biodegradable and landfills are full of it.
- Trees absorb carbon dioxide but cut flowers give it off at night.
- Scientists believe that climate change may be responsible for larger and more frequent storms.
- We always use disposable plates and cups when we have a party to make cleaning up afterwards a bit easier.
- Tigers are an endangered species and must be protected from exploitation.
- The environment is changing because of global warming.
- Pollution is harming our natural resources.
- It's necessary to increase the use of renewable energies.
- Jim always recycles his wine bottles; he takes them to the bottle bank every week.
1. Try to guess the meaning of the previous words in bold.
2. Answer the following questions:
